Guy Adami was born on the 18th December 1963, in North Tarrytown, New York State USA, and is a businessperson, professional investor, trader, and television personality, perhaps best known as an executive director at CIBC World Markets, a position he has held since 2003. Adami is also one of the five original cast members on CNBC’s “Fast Money Five” TV program. His career started in 1986.

Guy Adami was born the eldest of five children of Nancy C. and Guy M. Adami, and grew up in New York where he went to the Croton-Harmon High School. Guy matriculated in 1982, and went on to study at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., graduating in 1986.
Soon after a graduation, Adami launched his career at Drexel Burnham Lambert where he served on the floor of the commodity futures exchange at the New York Mercantile Exchange, with attendant offices in Boston, Washington, Atlanta, San Francisco, Dubai, London, and Tokyo. Guy managed to make a lot of money during his ten-year stint with the company, but in 1996 his talents were recognized and he joined the Goldman Sachs’ commodity group called J. Aron to become its vice-president. After making millions of dollars over a seven-year period, he left the post to become an executive director at CIBC World Markets in 2003m remaining in this post for nine years, consistently improving his net worth.
In 2012, Adami joined the Keppler Speakers, and since then, he frequently speaks at colleges and universities including Quinnipiac University, Adelphi University, the University of Richmond, Fordham University, and Georgetown University.
